What will happen when I visit for the first time? We have a great team of volunteers to greet you at the parking lot and help you find your way around. Click on GC Floor Plan and you can see where you need to go ahead of time. We have informational worship guides given to you on site, so you’ll be able to learn more about what is happening at Generations Church. If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you. Come and visit us several times in a row so you can give yourself time to meet great people and connect with others who want to know more about God. 3. What do I wear to attend church services? You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Weekend Services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because Generations Church is not about what you look like or what you wear. You’ll find people here just like you! 4. Do you have a midweek service? We have a dynamic mid-week service which focuses on worship and an interactive Bible study lead by Pastor Kraig Wall. Our special First Wednesday service includes praise and worship, prayer and communion. Check our service times to find out the upcoming date and time. Student Ministries (ages 6th-12th grade) and Childcare (ages birth — 5th grade) also is available so kids can experience God on their level. Check out the Related Ministry links to see more about these active ministries for your whole family. 5. What about my children? Your children are a top priority to all of us at Generations Church. Our nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. Our workers are trained and approved to work with your children. We offer a dynamic children's ministry as well as life-changing ministry to students from junior high through college. Check out the Related Ministry links to see more about these activities designed especially for your kids. 6. How can I meet others and get connected? There are many ways to get involved. You can begin by stopping by our Newcomer’s Info table on the first Sunday of the month where you can meet the staff and get to know some of the leaders. Another way to get connected is by attending our Discover Us Membership Class 101. Small groups are another great way to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith. Midweek services are another way to have a small group environment to meet people at Generations. Feel free to attend any of these venues. 7. How can I be discipled and grow? Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our Growth Track offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Lord to your involvement in life-changing ministry, we will lead you step-by-step from healing to growth and into leadership. Begin the process at our next Discover Us Membership Class101. Check out our Calendar or Growth Track links to see when the next classes are scheduled to begin. 8. Why do you have small groups? Small groups are an important part of Generations Church; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our small groups. Groups allow you to meet other people and families and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As Generations Church grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to one that’s just right for you. Learn more about why we’re big on small groups, or find a group to visit in our directory. 9. How can I get involved in a small group? One of the easiest things to do at Generations is to participate in a small group. Groups meet throughout the Franklin area and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support. Wherever you live, there’s a small group near you. Check out our online directory and visit a group this week. |
